The formation of Ashmari (Stones) and Mutrakricchra (UTI/Painful urination) follows this path:
How Sewa Kruston interrupts this:
Relieves Painful Micturition: The Sheeta Virya and Snigdha Guna of Jethimadh and Kakdi neutralize the burning sensation and relax the smooth muscles of the ureter.
Removes Kidney Stones: The alkaline property of Ksharas (Mulikshar, Sajikhar) alters the urinary pH, making it unfavorable for stone growth and aiding in dissolution.
Treats UTI: Daruhaldar and Manjith act as natural antibiotics (Krimighna) to clear bacterial colonization in the bladder.
Kidney Detoxification: Punarnava and Shilajit improve the glomerular filtration rate (GFR), aiding in the removal of metabolic toxins (Visha).
Ideal Patient: Patients with renal calculi (up to 7–8mm), chronic UTIs, or high uric acid levels.
Stage of Disease: Highly effective in the Sama stage of Mutrakricchra.
Clinical Guidance: Encourage the patient to increase water intake significantly while on this syrup to facilitate the Mutrala (diuretic) effect.
Anupana: Coconut water or Barley (Yava) water for enhanced results.
Dosage: 10–20 ml twice daily with an equal amount of water.
Contraindications: Not recommended in cases of complete urinary obstruction (Emergency Mutraghata) or large stones (>10mm) that may require surgical intervention. Use with caution in patients with severe dehydration.
Precautions: Due to the presence of Ksharas (Alkalies), monitor patients with sensitive gastric mucosa for mild hyperacidity.
Chandraprabha Vati: For chronic UTI and toning the urinary bladder.
Gokshuradi Guggulu: To enhance the anti-inflammatory and lithotriptic effect.
Varunadi Kwath: In cases of recurrent stone formation.
Punarnavasava: If there is associated swelling (edema) in the feet.
Hazrul Yahud Bhasma: Specifically if the stone is very hard or high in calcium.
Core Action: Ashmari-Bhedana (Stone breaking) & Srotoshodhana (Channel clearing).
Key Karma: Mutrala (Diuretic), Lekhana (Scraping), and Dahaprashamana (Cooling).
Clinical Positioning: A balanced lithotriptic that not only breaks stones but also heals the urinary tract from the resulting trauma.
This MOA is for the use of qualified Ayurvedic doctors. Treatment should be tailored to the patient's Agni, Koshta, and Rogabala. Radiological monitoring (USG) is advised to track stone progress.
